About the author
Every single day, nearly half a million people around the world read the words of the late Selwyn Hughes (1928 - 2006). The phenomenal success of the Every Day with Jesus devotional helped him fulfill the call of God on his life.
As a young man Selwyn worked in the dark coal pits of South Wales until God called him into full-time ministry. He became a theology student in Bristol then spent eighteen years as a minister in England and Wales.
Selwyn began writing his daily reading notes on the back of postcards for a few members of his congregation. This quickly became a ministry that led to an organization dedicated to preparing the Church for revival. The vision to bring God's Word into everyday life and relationships is the foundational principle of Crusade for World Revival (CWR) that began in 1965 and is still in operation today.
