Reviews
“The Day by Day Bible is a children's devotional that walks through the Bible one day and one bite at a time. One page equals one day's devotions. The page header contains the day's title and day number. Below this is the scripture reference followed by the devotion, "Talk Time" notes, and "Prayer Time" notes.
For instance, here is the very last devotion.
JESUS IS COMING BACK! Day 365
BIBLE TIME
1 Thessalonians 4: verses 16-18
Coming Back
One day Jesus has promised to come back to us. Won't that be wonderful! On that special day when Jesus returns... there will be first a trumpet blowing... and the voice of an angel will come down from heaven. Jesus will come back as a king. Everyone will know that everything written in the Bible is true.
We don't know when that will be... but when He comes back to us we will be with Him forever and ever!
TALK TIME
What do you think about Jesus leaving heaven and coming back again?
PRAYER TIME
Dear Lord Jesus, I look forward to that special day when you return to us. Amen.’
This is the entirety of this page's text, so you see it is simple enough to be just right for children in the 4 to 7 year old range. Every page also contains colorful and pertinent illustrations that will catch young eyes.
I particularly appreciate that the author has included, after the last devotion, a chance for the child to give his heart to Jesus.
